To reduce or eliminate the incidence of Guardianship abuse in the USA
To assist those struggling with this abuse currently and share preventive strategies to prevent new cases
To raise public awareness about widespread abuses in state guardianship systems throughout the United States.

A country where civil rights of the vulnerable are safeguarded, government protections are legitimate and enforced, families are protected, and abuses in guardianship are a thing of the past.

Advocacy

Victims as well as potential victims and their families need direct assistance and active support aimed at helping them gain access to the interventions they need to effectively deal with the challenges of predatory guardianship.

Coordination of Services

All services and support necessary for an individual to achieve his or her desired outcomes are provided in a manner that is person-centered, integrated and coordinated.

Self-Advocacy

Victims, potential victims and their families have access to training, information and support, as well as the opportunities necessary to develop the skills they need to advocate effectively for themselves.

Social Acceptance of Persons under Guardianship

Persons under guardianship are deserving of their civil liberties and must be afforded their legitimate rights in all aspects of community life and social interactions.

Service Availability, Access and Choice

Victims, potential victims and their families must have access to the supports necessary for them to achieve their desired outcomes and have a choice in the services and supports they use.

Personal/Professional Relationships

People providing services and supports are caring and respectful of Victims, potential victims and their families, they understand their needs, and they act as true partners in helping people achieve their desired outcomes.
