Brad Geller is an attorney in Michigan who filed a federal lawsuit against the state of Michigan challenging the elder guardianship program. The lawsuit, United States et al v State of Michigan, is a writ of habeus corpus demanding the release of all guardianized citizens in the state of Michigan. So far, the lawsuit has (narrowly) survived a recommendation to dismiss by magistrate judge.
Most recently, the Judge signed an order to show cause.
Thanks to AAAPG member Juliette Fairley, for keeping us abreast of these Federal, legal developments with respect to guardianship reform.
