Florida OPPG Guidance for Guardians 3-30-2020

The Florida Department of elderly affairs today issued guidelines related to the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus as it applies to and affects guardians in the state of Florida.

These new orders appear to relieve professional guardians from visiting their wards– currently the requirement is no more than once a quarter– apparently to prevent them from becoming exposed. Click on the links to see the rest of the orders.

we do not see any orders from the department regarding the safety of wards during the pandemic, nor do we see any relaxation of the egregious restrictions placed on families awards with regard to visitation or even removing award from a dangerous situation in which they are very likely to become infected in a group home setting.

Strange priorities.
