Nevada: Judge Charles Hoskins & Commissioner Jon Norheim have yet to be held accountable

Below is the link to the piece KTNV ABC News ran on Tuesday night on guardian Helen Natko’s felony conviction for theft and exploitation of a vulnerable person. Natko’s conviction further indicts Commissioner Jon Norheim and Judge Charles Hoskin for their longstanding bias to insert guardians to insure the exploitation of the estates of the vulnerable brought before them by their court allies. The jury came back this morning with a guilty verdict on both counts against Helen Natko. My wife Terri and I are so very thankful to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police investigators and especially to Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney J.P. Raman and his assistant Katie. Federal: SB 178 clears the US Senate Judiciary Committee

National Elder Protective Advocates, I am working to confirm that the Senate Judiciary Committee passed the Elder Abuse Protection and Prosecution Act through committee this morning, Thursday, Feb 9, 2017. I am also getting word that Senate Bill 178, Court-Appointed Guardian Accountability and Senior Protection Act, was combined and re-numbered SB 182. Federal: U.S. Senate Bill 178, the Elder Abuse and Exploitation Prevention and Prosecution Act

U.S. Senate Bill 178, the Elder Abuse and Exploitation Prevention and Prosecution Act, was introduced by Senator Chuck Grassley on inauguration day, January 20, 2017. Although the text has not been released this appears to be the reintroduction of Senate Bill 3270 from the 114th Congress. The introduction is consistent with Grassley’s 114-230 report building a budget for the bill. Grassley estimates budgetary needs of $8-9 million a year to implement the program.
